Easy Focaccia Bread Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • Aluminum foil
  • Sheet pan 9×13″

Directions:
Place package of yeast in bowl.

Place yeast and sugar in bowl and mix together.

Add warm water.

In separate bowl, mix in the four, salt, and black pepper.

Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture.

When the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic.

Lightly oil a large bowl and place the dough in the bowl.

Cover with a damp cloth or wrap top of bowl with plastic. Let rise in a warm place for 20-30 minutes.

After the dough has risen for 20-30 minutes, preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place dough on a flat surface with a small amount of flour or cornstarch.

Slowly stretch (avoiding pulling or ripping) the dough the length of a sheet pan. Should be about a 1/2 ” thick rectangle.

In another bowl, mix remaining oil olive with garlic powder, oregano, thyme, and basil.

Brush seasoned oil on bread.

Place sheet pan in heated oven.

Cook for 15 minutes. Take out of oven and cool for about five minutes.

Cut focaccia bread to deserved size.

A pizza cutter is my preferred tool, but a kitchen knife would work too.

Make sure to try it before everyone else gets their hands on it.

You can also sprinkle some parmesan cheese for added flavor. Try dipping it in different sauces and flavored oils. Share your treats with us on Instagram or Facebook with hashtag: #liliguanafun
