Jalapeno Poppers Two Ways

Need to feel some heat on this cold winter? Add some spice to your next party by impressing your friends with jalapeno peppers two ways. Recipe one has a cheesy kick, while the second recipe is more for the bacon lover in your life. Prepare these jalapeno poppers for your New Years Eve Party and ring in the new year with some added flavoring.

Recipe One: Sliced Jalapeno Pepper

Ingredients:

  • 15 fresh jalapenos
  • 16 ounces of cream cheese
  • 3 ounces of sour cream
  • 1lb thin-sliced bacon, cooked
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Pastry bag
  • Aluminum foil
  • Baking sheet pan (minimum 12×15)
  • Food preparation gloves

 

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cook bacon if need. Cool and set to the side.

Cut jalapenos in half and remove seeds and veins. (Use gloves to work with peppers)

Line your baking sheet pan with aluminum foil. Place cut peppers on pan.

Crush bacon into pieces.

Mix cream cheese and sour cream together. Place bacon bits into cream mixture.

Put cream mixture into pastry bag. Pipe mixture onto cut peppers.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of peppers.

Place in oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

Let cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!

Recipe Two: Wrapped Jalapeno Pepper

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh jalapenos
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese
  • 5 thin-sliced bacon, cut in half
  • Pastry bag
  • 10 Toothpicks
  • Aluminum foil
  • Baking sheet pan (minimum 12×15)
  • Food preparation gloves

 

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut the top off the jalapenos and remove seeds and veins. (Use gloves to work with peppers)

Line your baking sheet pan with aluminum foil. Place the cut peppers on pan.

Mix cream cheese and sour cream together.

Put cream mixture into pastry bag. Pipe mixture into peppers. Place toothpicks to hold bacon around the pepper.

Place in oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

Let cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!
