Marshmallow Trash Treats

With flour and other baking goods running out at grocery stores right now, you can see make yummy treats with a few simple ingredients. The big family size boxes of cereal are still available as well as marshmallows. As long as you have vegan butter (or regular butter) you can make these delicious treats. I guess your own trash can be your reward.

Trash Treat Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups Miscellaneous Cereal (I used cinnamon cheerios, lucky charms, and chocolate cheerios)
  • 6 cups mini or jumbo marshmallows (one 10oz bag)
  • 6 tablespoons vegan butter, melted

Directions:
In a large bowl, measure marshmallows.

(it doesn’t matter if you use mini or normal size marshmallows)

Cut the measure butter and place in bowl with marshmallows.

Melt marshmallows and butter together. (this can be done in the microwave by cooking the ingredients for 2 minutes on medium heat, or you can place the ingredients and melt them on medium heat in a sauce pan)

Pour the cereal into melted mixture. Mix all the ingredients together.

Once everything is evenly mixed, quickly pack the mixture on top a pan to cool. (be careful not to burn yourself, but also pack the mixture before it cools)

Cut individual squares once cooled.
